Affiliates and Partners
We've created our own network, for you
As you know (and in case you don’t), we are a free, travel-based meta-search engine and comparison site.
We bring together in one place a range of travel services, giving you the power to explore and compare multiple travel brands in a convenient, clear and transparent way.
We’ve partnered with many of these businesses and as such, we are known as ‘affiliates’ of them.
We can also earn money from this model in the form of a commission.
For example, if you book a flight or hotel room with one of the companies we've partnered with, that business will give us a percentage of that transaction for being the channel through which the sale or booking happened.
Partnering with the best, to give you more power!
It a model that's been around for decades and can be beneficial to all three parties: you, us and the business themselves. There are some questions that you may have, we've tried to answer some of the most common ones below.
Question: Doesn’t that mean I get charged a higher price to cover that?
Absolutely not. The prices you see are what anyone would be charged no matter how they came to that page (or sometimes cheaper). Our commission comes strictly from any income a business makes from the sale. You can call it ‘profit sharing’, as we are awarded a portion of their profits after the sale has happened.
Question: How do you select the brands you feature on your website?
This is a really important question. We promote brands and services by presenting them to you. If our visitors find that the quality of the services we offer aren’t great, then we will lose out on having you using our platform.
It’s in our interest to make sure what you explore through us, is relevant, satisfying and useful.
So we don’t just reach out to any business that will partner with us, we go through a process first before we make any first contact, or agree to any business wanting to partner with us:
• Are they fully licensed/regulated to carry out the service they are offering? Without the proper authority, you could be at risk if something goes wrong. We don’t accept businesses who aren’t fully regulated (where that's applicable).
• Look at their online presence. We scour entire websites, review ratings, and where possible, test the service out for ourselves. As we will be sending you to their website or booking system, if the site isn’t well maintained, fully-optimised, or secure (such as not having SSL certificates (Kaspersky has a great article if you want to learn more about SSL certificates)) then we wouldn’t want to put your browsing experience or security at risk and won't feature them on our platform. We have to ensure that they carry out the service they advertise as well.
• Customer support. There are times when you need to get in touch with a business to ask a question, express concern or seek advice. If there isn’t a clear way to get in touch with them (such as a phone number, email address or enquiry form), we don’t think they have fulfilled general expectations toward their customers and would strongly consider whether they are the right brand to promote on our platform
Through this process, we have the right recipe to filter the highest quality, reputable and best businesses in their respective sectors. We continually look at our partners to make sure they have adhered to the standards that appealed to us in the first place.
Question: Do you sell my data or information:
We don’t sell your information at all. When you use our platform, we don’t require you to enter any personal details.
If you sign up with us for an account or newsletter, we have infrastructure in place to make sure your information is safe and secure. Even then, we ask for the least amount of information necessary. You can learn more about this on our privacy policy page.
And finally...
We're proud of our partners and the products they offer. We want you to be able to make the right choice, knowing that we have done the work to bring together in one place what we think are the outstanding companies offering the best services.
Our core business now is to promote them to you, matching what you need with those who have it.
As you’ll see, we have grown to provide more than that, offering our own original content, destination guides, and styling the information in a way that makes it exciting and inspiring rather than a chore to shop and search for your travel and holiday related needs.
HomeHolidayGuide.com has so much more to come! We want to expand our affiliate partners into new areas, keep the power in your hands and be the search engine with personality and passion who delivers an honest service that’s beneficial to you.
Happy searching, HomeHolidayGuide.com!
